Roaming the French Countryside

Scott and I explored the French countryside one day while we were on the hunt to find as many castles (Castle Blog post here!) as we could. As we drove by quaint little towns, twisting and turning through winding streets of tall, lush trees and knee-length grass, we stumbled upon this peaceful meadow of grazing cows and purple flowers. Because the road was narrow, we parked our car further down the road and traced back our steps, walking back towards this picturesque field. Scott and I both felt like we were in a scene of a movie ; there wasn't a sound to be heard, aside from the occasional moos of cows and chirping of crickets. A warm sun gently tickled our faces and lit up the grass to a bright, apple green. Our lungs were taking in sweet, fresh, countryside air. The short moment that we were there felt like heaven. And so, we tried to capture it.
